At Monticello, on the road leading to the centre of Arqa Petrarca, not far from the unique archaological site of Paleovento, sits the farm of Borin - Wines & Vines. The soil is ideal for growing the finest grapes.


Dr. Gianni Borin personally oversees the wine making, from the vineyards 27 hectares of vines.

The staff pursue a daily policy of clear commitment to cultivation and wine making which starts with a scrupulous care for selecting only the best grapes. The processing is carried out in the modern cellar at Monticelli, always worth a visit, using technical developments aimed at producing fine wines with great personality.

This is a ruby red wine with an intense scent of berry fruits that evolves into an ethereal bouquet. Its flavor is dry and well balanced.

This fine Italian sparkling wine is a 2010 vintage. It is soft, scented and grapey, with delicious lightness and a long lasting ‘mousse‘. Because of the quality of the fruit, the wine has a lower level of residual sugar than is usual with Prosecco, so is drier and more drinkable as a result. It is also ‘Millesimato’ which means that it has been made with grapes from one vintage, which doesn’t happen with ‘normal’ Prosecco and is therefore considered to be of higher quality.
